Welcome to the Dan Buchman State Farm Insurance Agency!

When you truly enjoy what you do, getting up each morning never feels like work. Helping people with their insurance needs has been my passion for a long time. My State Farm office is right here in Syracuse, where I’ve proudly served the community since 2008, helping families and business owners protect what matters most. We also work with customers throughout Syracuse, Milford, Leesburg, New Paris, Pierceton, and Cromwell, making sure our neighbors feel confident and prepared for whatever comes their way.

My journey with State Farm actually started back in 1966 at just 17 years old in my hometown of Newark, Ohio while attending The Ohio State University (yes, I’m still a proud BUCKEYE...!). I earned my degree in Risk Management & Insurance from Ohio State and later completed my Master’s Degree through The American College with a focus on Financial Services.

Over the years, I’ve also earned CPCU, CLU, ChFC, and CASL designations, giving me a strong foundation to help customers make informed decisions around their Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, Life Insurance, Health Insurance, and more. Is it just me, or does it seem like today’s world keeps getting a little crazier every year...?

Our office is a small but dedicated team with two licensed professionals alongside myself, and we’re here to help you navigate everything from protecting your car and home to supporting your long-term financial goals. Whether you’re getting ready for a new stage in life or simply reviewing your current coverage, we’re happy to walk through your options with you.

Outside the office, I stay active in the community through Kiwanis and as a Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, and I enjoy playing trumpet in the Lake Area Community Band. Family is a big part of my life too, with two daughters, five grandkids, and a black cat named Pumpkin keeping things interesting.
